Hammurabi's code is a code of law that was made for his people to obey him. Also he made it for justice in his empire. The Hammurabi's code is about the same treatment that people get when someone does something bad to people and they get the same treatment. For example: if someone cut another's ear off, the person that got their ear cut off can do the same to the person who cut their ear off.
