Standard: Find out how a regular sentence, chapter, scene, or stanza fits into the final structure of a text and gives to the development of the theme, setting, or plot. The diorama relates to the standard because it talks about the theme, setting, plot, chapter, scene, etc and I had to make a diorama about the Giver and include the chapter, scene, a summary, etc.
What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
The steps I took to complete and do well on this assignment are following the directions. Ms. Kim gave the class a paper that had a rubric on the back and things we need to do to get a four. We had to cover the shoebox with paint or wraps, write a summary for he Giver from the chapter I was assigned. I also had to write a quote from the chapter of the scene I was doing.
This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
This assignment demonstrates my strengths and they are arts and craft. The whole diorama was about crafting and art. I had to cut, paste, paint, and also get creative ideas to make things.
I could have improved my work on this assignment by...
I could've improved on filling the whole shoebox up and making it more colorful. Also I could've improved on my presentation because I forgot to say the summary so I got a 2 on the summary part. I could've put more colors in and make the people a little bit taller so you can see them clearly.
How will you apply the skill you learned from this assignment in either the real world or in other classes while you are still a student?
I will apply the skills for my next diorama because Ms. Kim gave me good advice and I think I would get a four if I follow her steps. Also I could use it for my art school.
