In India, Asoka(an emperor) sent missionaries for Buddhism because he believed in Buddhism. He sent them all over Asia and more. That is why later on, during the Han Dynasty, Buddhist missionaries entered China along the Silk Roads. The Chinese people didn't expect that because they had the Great Wall of China. In Buddhism, there were ideas of escaping suffering, so it attracted many followers. The missionaries that were in China spread all over Japan and Korea, so they started to believe in Buddhism, and the religion rose.
