1. Rewrite the standard in your own words. How does this assignment relate to the standard?
The standard for this assignment is 7.LS.5d. I know how the reproductive organs of the human female and male generate eggs and sperm and how sexual activity may lead to fertilization and pregnancy. The standard relates to the assignment because I knew and wrote about how the gametes of the female and male reproductive system makes a female pregnant. Also, I know and wrote about when the egg from the female gets fertilized.
2. What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
The steps I took to complete and do well on this assignment was to copy down the steps to pregnancy from my science notebook. Then I had to draw the steps out on the same paper. Finally, I colored the drawings and turned it into the teacher.
3. This assignment demonstrates the following strengths…
This assignment demonstrates that I can draw out steps by only reading them. Also, it demonstrates that I know the path to pregnancy which means I know how females get pregnant. Finally, this assignment demonstrates that I can be professional and not act immature to the topic we were learning in class.
4. I could have improved my work on this assignment by …
I could've improved on my work by coloring the illustrations better and not leaving any blank spaces. Also, I could've thought of a better and more creative layout than just doing them by rows. Finally, I could've improved on my work by writing a little bit bigger so people can read it when it is hung in the class.
5. How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I will apply the skills I learned in this assignment for the midterm or any tests because there are questions about the path to pregnancy. Also, I can apply it for when I need to write an essay someday about how people get pregnant. Finally, I can apply it to when there is a sex ed assembly so that I wouldn't be immature because it happens later on.
