Queen Hatshepsut
Queen Hatshepsut was a pharaoh and women aren't really pharaoh but she was. Her husband was a pharaoh before her but he past away so Hatshepsut decided it was her chance to rule. She wore a false beard because she wanted show that she can be a pharaoh too and also she wanted to show that she was a great leader. Hatshepsut wanted to strengthen her land so she prospered Egypt through trade. She traded with an African land called Punt and brought back rare things like spice, herbs, monkeys, and potted trees to make incense. Queen Hatshepsut wanted to proclaim her glory by making an obelisk and an obelisk is a for sided shaft with a pyramid shaped top. She used red granite to make it and the artisans used hieroglyphs to record her deeds.
Ramses the Great
Ramses the Great was a pharaoh that ruled for 66 years and greatly expanded the empire by conquering surrounding territories. Ramses the Great was the first pharaoh to sign a peace treaty with the Hittites. He built a city called Pi- Ramses and made four 66 feet statues to protect his temples.
