1.1 students address discrete elements of daily life, including: Family and friends. This standard relates to this assignment because I had to talk about my family and friends. Also, I described about what they do and how I became friends with them.

The steps I took to complete and do well on this assignment was to first, set up the format of this assignment. Since I needed to do a family tree, I did the format or the family tree style with pictures. Also, I wrote about the people that are in my family. I didn't put any pictures of my family, but I did put pictures of random people from the internet. Lastly, I typed my family members names and I tried to add more detail about them each.

This assignment demonstrates that I can ask my family about the relationships of our/my family. Also, I the a lot about my family, so I didn't need to ask a lot of questions. This assignment also demonstrates that I can give a lot of details about my family so people would understand who is who and what us what.

I could've improved on this assignment by describing more of my dad's relationship with his side of the family. Also, I should've added pictures of my actual family instead of pictures from the internet. I could've improved on describing everyone specifically, for example, age, what school, etc.

I can apply this skill to when I have to do presentations of my family tree and I have to actually create something like it. Also, I can apply this assignment when I have to write a descriptive "essay" or paragraph about my family.
